We’re Adding a Sunbeam!

March 5, 2018 by Ariel 2 Comments

Happy Monday everyone!

I’ve sorely neglected the lifestyle and family section of this blog… I just genuinely get really excited about food. 😉 But we’ve had some good news baking for a while, and I figured now was the perfect time to share!

I am so blessed with a wonderful husband and a beautiful and vivacious [almost] 2 year old. And now, we’re adding a new little sunbeam to our family!

Our Baby Boy is due mid-May, and we couldn’t be more excited! Spring is such a beautiful time to have a baby, and this one is promising to be very full and busy with our newest arrival and his big sister! Our prayer is that our little one will grow up to be a man of God from his childhood, just as little Samuel was (1 Samuel 1 and 2).

This pregnancy has definitely been different from my first… Less energy (probably due to chasing around an energetic toddler), more intense symptoms, and less cravings (bummer, yeah?). I also feel like I haven’t prepared for this baby much at all before now! (Sorry, second child. I promise you are no less loved!) 😉 But now that I’m nearing the “home stretch” I am definitely feeling the need to get everything ready!

I’m going to be stepping up with a few more mom-related posts now that baby is on the brain all over again. If this is something you would be interested in, definitely stay tuned! And if not, don’t worry – there will still be lots of yummy food happening over on the recipe page. 🙂

We are so excited to welcome our second little bundle of joy into our family. Please leave any special advice you have about little boys in the comments below! I’ll be back with a new and exciting recipe in a few days. Until then, may your day be seasoned with sunshine! 🙂

Little boys are so, so fun! And mine is quite predictable and easier to figure out than my little girl, which makes parenting a bit easier too. He just needs lots of outdoor activity, hands on helping projects, on time meals, and a low sugar diet to keep that natural energy and excitement at a manageable level. 😉 Have fun! Our number 3 is due in July!

Thanks Chantee! 😀 My little girl is already SO energetic – so I’ve been a little nervous when everyone keeps telling me that boys are a whole new level 😉 haha All of these tips definitely help!! We can’t wait to meet the little guy <3 And congratulations on number 3!! We're super excited for you guys 🙂
